NSERC Funding Gives Green Light for Concrete Collaboration with University of Sherbrooke
Anomera is pleased to announce that we have partnered in a collaboration with the Université de Sherbrooke, McMaster University and Béton Provincial to further the innovative research on the performance benefits our carboxylated cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) can bring to cement-based materials. Professor Arezki Tagnit-Hamou, Head of the Cement & Concrete Research Group at the University of Sherbrooke, who originally spearheaded the proof-of-concept research, is joined by Dr. Ammar Yahia from the Department of Civil Engineering & Building Engineering and Dr. Ousmane Ahmat Hisseine from the Civil Engineering Department at McMaster University. University of Sherbrooke and McMaster University are two of strongest centers of concrete research in the world and Anomera is thrilled to continue our partnership together. We are also happy to be joined in this initiative by Béton Provincial, one of the largest producers of concrete and paving products in Quebec. This three-year, $734,000 project will be funded in part through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Alliance Program.
