Anomera manufactures carboxylated Cellulose Nanocrystals (CNC) using a patented eco- friendly process that delivers a natural nanomaterial with unique properties. Role overview:
Anomera is currently seeking a Project and Maintenance Supervisor. This is a permanent, full-time position which will be located at our Special Materials Facility in Temiscaming, Quebec. Upon one year of completed service, the incumbent will be eligible to apply for relocation at our head office in Montreal, Quebec. Reporting to the Senior Director of Manufacturing and Transformation, the incumbent will be primarily responsible for ensuring the preventative maintenance protocol is being followed as defined and implementing improvements with the goal to ensure the effective functioning of the chemical manufacturing equipment. The selected candidate will be action oriented, well organized and able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. The role requires an individual with a strong technical background, who is creative, resourceful, meticulous, and is attentive to detail and to the needs of the operations team. The position also requires bilingual collaboration (English/French) with internal and external stake-owners who have a variety of functional and cultural backgrounds.Location: Témiscaming, Québec, Canada.
Note that a corporate apartment is available for applicants who relocate for the position.Key responsibilities:
- Conduct daily troubleshooting of urgent manufacturing equipment issues
- Provide technical input when helping to problem solve
- Launch and execute a preventative maintenance operation program
- Identify which spare parts are necessary and responsible for managing the inventory supply
- Implement project improvements and equipment modifications
- Perform all other tasks in accordance with the direct supervisor’s instruction
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial engineering, or a connected field.
- Applicants who hold a DEC and relevant professional experience (minimum 2 years) will equally be considered
- 2 years relevant experience preferably in maintenance in manufacturing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capable of multi-tasking while ensuring attention to detail
- Must have a strong sense of urgency and be deadline-oriented
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
Other preferred qualifications:
- Possess field experience preferably in a chemical industrial regulated environment
- Able to perform updates in P&ID plans using AutoCAD (an asset)
- Bilingual communication skills in English and French
Other required qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Occasional travel to Anomera office in Montreal will be required
