Mitacs supports UBC Collaboration
We're thrilled to share that Anomera Inc has embarked on an exciting collaboration with the The University of British Columbia, led by the esteemed Professor Emily Cranston, who will lead the project aiming to use scalable technology to create new modified CNCs with varying degrees of surface charge and functionality. This partnership is set to revolutionize the use of cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) by developing a simplified process for their surface functionalization. Thanks to the support from Mitacs, over the next two years, we will be pushing the boundaries of CNC technology to enhance their compatibility and ease of use across various industries, including coatings, polymers, and other composite materials. This is a great step forward in sustainable material science, and we can't wait to see the innovations that will emerge from this venture.
